For the first time, Agence France-Presse has unveiled a portion of its photographic archive of more than 20 million images to the general public. For this it has teamed up with online publisher Crystal Galerie, recognised for its high artistic standards in photo printing. As the exclusive distributor of this collection, Crystal Galerie is offering direct access to the work of AFP’s photojournalists for the first time ever. Thanks to this unprecedented partnership, anyone can view this selection – added to every day and classified by theme, by region and by year – and order prints.
Quality standards demand that all of the photographs are numbered and accompanied by their captions as well as a certificate of authenticity issued by the Agency. The publisher guarantees that “none of the images presented has been retouched, in accordance with AFP’s journalistic code of ethics.”
